the Diner took me meatball hunting...

and one spring-y night last week we found our way to the Great Meatball Dispensary in the Sky. This is the Meatball Shop on Stanton Street on the Lower East Side in NY. And the Meatballs were very, very good indeed. Our waitress was sweet and soft-spoken, which is why we did not realize there were nightly specials until we were leaving. I am learning that there are many many reasons to keep a dining room noisy, but then shouldn't your front-of-house staff be able to make themselves heard so they can be effective?
