beamed from outer space into my inbox

As if hurricane, winds, tornado warnings (yes, warning not watch), high waves and tidally augmented floods weren't enough, look what the Copywriter From Space just beamed into my Inbox. Congrats, young miss, you've made not one but two terrible awful puns. The first is obvious, the second, I explicate: you're not all atwitter, you're a twit. But you did spell the French right. I'm nothing if not fair. Now I will go lie down.

Picturing ET landing on a crop circle, dressed in tweed shortsies to protest JC's UK website prices.

  2. Yes the CFS sent this to me too!
Tweeding Frenzy indeed. ET would be darn cute in those tweed shorts.

  3. Hi, Cris, isn't it against intergalactic law to litter in space?

Dani, can you imagine a little kid wanting to grow up and do this? Me neither.

  4. What is it with the French?? As you say , there are starving graduate students in NYC who'd work for a song or a salad to make this right.

  5. I think the interns may have taken over temporarily at JC with their recent missteps.

  6. Have you noticed the new 'can't get enough' on the J. Crew blog?

  7. Hi, Lane, what with school district budget cuts all over the country even before the crashes, I'd prefer to give the work (or the food) to a former French teacher. All things considered, better chance that such an individual learned and remembers a little grammar. Et quelques gallicismes.

  8. Hi, Lisa, interns are selected by, and supposedly trained and supervised by, um -- who? Heaven only knows what they're learning this summer!

  9. Hi, Cris, I did, and sadly I remember when that could have been me (or I). What was that about noone can step twice into the same river?

Wellfedfred, you must check out the new arrivals at JC if you have not. Specifically, the knife pleat skirt..."Falls to ankle." Love to hear your CFS comment on that one!!!

  11. At the moment, SouthernBellePhD, I am speechless. We both know this won't last long.

As Alice Roosevelt Longworth said, if you've got anything bad to say, sit next to me! No, really, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything fred's mother would not approve of (Diner's mom didn't approve of anything. Including fred.)
