There was always a reverent hush in my house, growing up,
when Paul Newman's image was flickering on the tv.
He merited reverence
and we, the venerating females of all ages,
respected one another's right to sigh, in peace.
Sigh.
Have some more. Thanks, I will.
That was excellent, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI was sad for many weeks when he passed. Occasionally, some flavor of the week is dubbed the new Paul Newman. As if there could be another.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked him better older, at least as an actor. As a dish, he was always delish.
I visited to read more about your trip to France but my goodness, I really, really enjoyed This dessert. It was nice to see these younger pictures again. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI was being selfish when I set up the post, but now I'm glad I put it up, and I'm glad you all share my wonderful taste in men!
ReplyDeleteSo very handsome and I always admired that he stayed married to the same woman all his life and that his food products under the Newman's Own label donate all the profits to charity, over $100 million already. Dessert indeed. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteimpeccable taste as always, xoxo!
ReplyDeleteYes, please. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup! He will forever be one of the true silver screen gods.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the early morning delight, WFF! Paul Newman has always been one of my favorites...seems as if they just don't make 'em like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteHi, Rose, Closet Crisis, FFM, yes, skill, grace, and you never saw him trying - best definition of effortless !
