beautiful....
did I mention that Maui is famous for its sunsets?
kind of a Southern California feel, but without the fancy cars and with better beach access.
we chose to stay at a small hotel rather than at a large resort. it was the right choice.
more later, I have to go lean back and gaze at the ocean some more.
DAMN YOU FRED!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is wretched here today! But all kidding aside, am glad you are having fun and what a view!
My favorite place :-) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteRaise an umbrella embellished drink for me!! I adore Mauii. My favourite island in Hawaii. Aloha
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I was there! Have one of those umbrella drinks for me too.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful. Hope you have a relaxing, but fun break.
ReplyDeleteThis appears tough to take. You are mot missing a thing back East. Have a wonderful time and some good eats.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the glimpse. The weather has not been conducive to frosty drinks in the greater NY area!
ReplyDeleteAh yes... the memories... thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIs that Wailea, by any chance?
Ahhh, so lucky! Happy you're getting to enjoy some time there. I went to Hawaii for the first time two years ago and must recommend the snorkeling on Maui, if you guys are at all snorkeling types. We took one of those snorkeling/whale watching boats that went out to Molokini and had sea turtles swimming next to us! Plus whales that came right up to our boat. Best $82/person ever spent. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Fred-Thank you for the gorgeous pictures, especially those beautiful purple blooms! I hope you have a lovely time.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDeleteHope you are having fun!
Gorgeous ... envious!!!
ReplyDeletehi, all, yes, I'm being assaulted by peace and beauty on all sides, and torturing self trying to figure a way to stay here,
ReplyDeleteJust looking at those photos has given me a warm glow. I bet you don't need those thick PJs you mentioned in a previous post!?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! When you get back, I'd love to know which hotel you were at if you'd recommend. Last time we went, we stayed at a gorgeous but huge resort hotel, but that was a special anniversary visit... Next time I'd like to find something more low key for a longer stay...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place. We were just talking about our trip last year ( won't be there this year) I've been to Kapalua, Kanapaali and the Grand Wailea- all perfect in their own way. Try Kona sometime- it's rustic charm is so different than Maui but just as beautiful, only in a completely different way. Sit back and enjoy scenery!!
