I can't wear flats, but here's a treat for my friends who can

I'm sitting, well, sprawling, on the beach in Key West, playing with my iPhone, and look what I found! The address of the Repetto outlet in Paris! Now this is clearly a place I'd never go, because my feet kill me when I wear flat shoes, but for those of you who love flats, snagging a pair of Repetto ballerines may be on your list of VMBPLG (very minor but pleasant life goals). Sooo---
Stock Repetto
24 rue de Chateaudun
Paris 9e
metro: Notre-Dame de Lorette

Tuck this away in your "my next trip maybe" folder and don't say I never did anything for you.

  1. I love flat shoes, for the comfort factor - but I still need to wear insoles with them or I end up walking as if I've had my ankle bones removed.

    1. Hi, Sulky, I've long since given up on flats, even my bedroom slippers have a wedge.

  3. I can't wear those ballet flats they kill my feet, but they are so pretty.
Fred do you know anyone who actually lives in Key West? What would that be like?

    1. Hi, Dani, not a soul, it's just a beautiful and relaxing place for a winter break. I think we'd be crazy here all year round, since we don't water ski or keep a boat. We would have to take up serious drinking.

    2. Fred hmm I wondered, thanks! My sister is thinking of relocating there. She doesn't drink so hopefully she'd be safe. She's a writer so she'd have something to do besides water ski, which she would never ever do.
      And I could visit her...!

  4. Thanks for sharing the address! I love Repettos even though they aren't terribly practical. I actually managed to score a few pairs of Repettos for super low prices at The Bay (short for the Hudson's Bay Company, Canada's last remaining national department store, now owned by Lord & Taylor).

    1. Hi, Louise, they're a cult thing in France (but you knew that). And they are so cute, they just don't like my feet.

  5. I can only wear flats these days. But am not planning a shoe buying trip to Paris in the near future. They do sound good though. Perhaps I should reconsider mundane bill paying and lash out.

    1. Hi, The Elephant's .Child, well, somebody (not me) once said that travel is the ultimate act of optimism.

  6. It would be a treat but chances are good I won't get there. Husby will not get on an airplane unless his life depended on it. He doesn't like ships either. ;)

As Alice Roosevelt Longworth said, if you've got anything bad to say, sit next to me! No, really, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything fred's mother would not approve of (Diner's mom didn't approve of anything. Including fred.)
