  2. Is the foot better? I have a favourite sweater but it's been to the invisible menders ten times in about 20 years.

    1. thanks, Naomi, I'm keeping at the physical therapy but it's slow.

thinking back, I know I got the sweater in the days before web orders... you know, the Bronze Age.

  3. Awesome sweater.....they definitely don't make them like they used to!!

I am sorry I wasn't able to get together with you these past few months... let's just say my first term at Parsons was a trial by fire and I won't be taking 8 courses in a single term again! Next term should hopefully be less crazy as I reduced my course load. Looking forward to a JCA blogger get-together in March!!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!! :-) All the best - Louise

    1. Hi, Louise, that first term sounds like the sweatshops that garment workers unionized to prevent. Congratulations on surviving it!

I'm hoping to be around in March, so far things look clear. Merry Christmas to you and family!

  4. So pretty! Something comfortable to wear whilst elevating one's foot, ahem. I have a >10 yr pale blue heavy cashmere sweater on today, from Fjall (?), which I will wear on my 4 mile walk with Beans down sweater ( great! So lightweight) and my lurid orange please-don't-shoot-me-I'm-not-a-deer cap.

Merry Christmas to you and Himself, Fred!

    1. Hi, Lane, our local deer eat all the "deer proof" plants. Himself keeps threatening to call in a bow-hunter. I've been telling him to hurry up and get it done before spring, but so far he's all talk. Meanwhile there's a group of 3 that like to frolic on our driveway.

    3. I could send you one of a number of upstanding bow hunters; they are a really great group, in general, very responsible/environmentally aware/safety conscious.

    4. thanks - we have to stay within the gallant group of NY & Suffolk County licensed personnel. All of whom, I'm sure, are related to our village mayor.

  5. Beautiful sweater. I pulled out a couple of oldies again this year, a favorite one from BR from Fall, 04. Striped also, cashmere and never had a pill in its life.

    Happy Holidays!!!

    1. I still love my elderly cashmeres - they're unbelievably luxurious and it makes me sad to think that I'll never be able to replace them. The heavy ones may get some outings if it's a really cold winter.

Happy Holidays to you and yours!
