As Alice Roosevelt Longworth said, if you've got anything bad to say, sit next to me! No, really, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything fred's mother would not approve of (Diner's mom didn't approve of anything. Including fred.)

Moi aussi je suis Charlie
ReplyDelete♥️
DeleteShoot, cannot speak a word of French, except for Franglais, I took latin (for my sins)
ReplyDeleteThus is in response to the terrorist attack in Paris yesterday - "Charlie Hebdo" is a satirical magazine, kind of like Mad or The Onion used to be, and its choices of targets for its humor are quite wide-ranging. The 12 victims were eight journalists; two police; a visitor and a maintenance worker. "Je suis Charlie" means "I am Charlie," and it is appearing on signs, placards, store windows, public buildings, etc all over France and in many other countries. John Kerry gave a ringing statement of solidarity, made more pointed by being delivered in French as well as in English.
DeleteSo sad, thanks for this post

ReplyDeleteStephane Charbonnier, editor Charlie Hebdo Source: Le Monde September 2012.
The tsunami of sadness is overwhelming. One of the suspects is eighteen years of age.
This is so painful. I will find JKerry's remarks. They have a hostage this am.
ReplyDeleteThe Jewish community here have had to step up their security, we really are in a guerrilla war.
