    1. Liverpool is known as the largest Irish city in the world.
      Lennon actually wrote 2 patriotic songs, this one and Sunday Bloody Sunday. Both were immediately banned by the BBC and subsidiaries.
      For a while, in the US, only bootleg singles were available.
