finally unpacked last of suitcase and it seems that all of our chargers (electronics, not large under-plate-things which we do not own) were having such a good time that they have remained abroad. All of them. For some reason power unit to computer found its way into Himself's suitcase for trip over, so it remained abroad as well. Trip to Apple store resulted in return trip to Apple store, noise level being such that helpful guy with charge machine probably didn't hear me when I recited the Roll Call of the Missing, so everything I brought home had to go back.
tip for visitors to NYC: yes there is an Apple store right outside of FAO Schwarz and you should go to any of the numerous OTHER Apple stores in NYC, unless of course you have already lost your hearing. Bright side report: did not lose any shoes this trip. That I know of, brain still working shorter hours in protest of something that has not been shared with me.

So my messy snuffleupagus cold is clearing up, strange but nice weather is holding, in fact some regular spring and summer migratory birds who visit regularly from May to August seem to have turned around and come back (worrisome, that), the electronics are charged up, madly deleting as many as I can of the idiotic extras wished upon i-Things by the operating system upgrade - as Mom said when the Jolly Green Giant changed the frozen butter sauce on his frozen string beans, "Why do improvements always make things worse?" - and although still dropping off to sleep at odd and inconvenient moments, I thought a word or so explaining the radio silence from Flintstone Towers would be in order. Now you know. Regular blogging is expected to resume shortly. Get ready to drool.
