De Rodriguez (Cuba)

Great meal! Previous experience of Cuban food was limited -- sandwiches on Calle Ocho, nostalgia in Key West.

This is a whole other level, of talent, of ingredients, of imagination.

Happy girl here. Details will follow, this is just to remind me.

Oh, and I never come to Miami without at least one long and lovely lunch here:

Sunday lunch is the most fun. Mamá explained that families still get together, but nobody cooks any more -- they all come here. Well, us too.

  1. That looks DELICIOUS. Now I am seriously craving a sandwich Cubano (about the limit of my Cuban experience - oh, and mojitos). And for some reason that first image reminds of the fabulous lunch sandwiches at Stone Barns, which I am also craving.
