where I will never eat even if they pay me - this may become a regular section - and I don't mean to criticize others' taste or preferences, but the following are choices I would never make

What: Breathe some life into morning meetings or postwork dinners at former Scarpetta GM Jeffrey Tascarella’s cozy Midtown nook.
Why: Dehydrated roasted garlic and gouda chips, duck confit over Earl Grey-stewed prunes (or, as we call it, Thanksgiving delight), and light-as-air chamomile panna cotta.
When: Mon.-Thurs., 7-10:30 a.m. & 5:30-11 p.m.; Fri. & Sat., 7-10:30 a.m. & 5:30 p.m.-midnight.
Where: The Gotham Hotel, 16 E. 46th St., b/t Madison & Fifth Aves.
