  5. In addition to being fashioned from a scarf, these pants have a most unfortunate placement of the tummy motif, resembling either an abstract female reproduction chart or a tramp stamp applied by a drunk ("Shoot, wrong side!")

  6. The pants were my pick for the questionable item of the season. Especially at $495. Just as you are, folks had a fun time when I posted here. Head turning indeed ... heehee.

  7. Those pants are incredibly hideous. If the model and an army of stylists can't make them look good, it won't look good on anyone!

  8. Lane (and everybody!), on the subject of misplaced motifs, see item 63559 on the JCrew website. I would have included a pic of it in the post, but Blogger was moody.

  12. That was the first thing I saw when the pants appeared on the website! What were they thinking? :D

  13. Perhaps they are trying to be ironic? Like when I was at university and we would buy old grampa sweaters and granny dresses and wear them open to the navel and very punkish??? Oh wait - I forgot we went to goodwill and paid $3. Never mind....

  15. Hi, WMM, somehow I don't see irony.

  16. J.Crew seems to have taken some serious wrong turns this season. I find so much of it garish and unwearable, not to mention a huge waste of money.

  17. Hi, xoxo, I agree. The two or three things I thought I might love vanished early or didn't live up to expectations when I tried them on, and the rest of the stuff just seems to be lingering.
