(Flying, flying, flying)
Look at me way up high,
Suddenly here am I
I'm flying.
I'm flying
(Flying, flying, flying)
I can soar
I can weave and what's more
I'm not even trying
High up, and as light as I can be.
I must be a sight lovely to see.
I'm flying.
(Flying, flying, flying)
Nothing will stop me now:
Higher still look at how
I can zoom around,
'Way up off the ground
I'm flying.
I'm whizzing
Through a cloud
Past the star
I'm so proud
Look how far I breeze in
High over the moon
Higher I fly
By old mister moon
Wave me goodbye
I'm flying.
(Flying, flying, flying)
Heading far out of sight
Second star to the right
Now the way is clear
Neverland is near
Follow all the air
Cause I'm about to disappear
I'm flying!
Hello:
ReplyDeleteAnd where, we wonder are you flying to?
No doubt some distant, exotic land with culinary delights to tempt us with on your return. Safe travels!
Thank you, Jane and Lance! We have a family event in the next week or so, and Himself can't think of fall without wanting to be on the open road, so yes, travel is on the horizon. But last night I watched Our Gabby flying magically through the sky to bring home the gold, and I wished I could fly like Peter.
ReplyDeleteOur new Wendy! What grace.
ReplyDeleteWish I was going to London which is apparently underinhabited right now-- you can get a table anywhere.
Hi, Lane, that's because none of the athletic types eat.
ReplyDeleteGabby is such an inspiration! She is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Gabby! I commented my husband after the competition that her winning lifts girls around the world. Her grace and pure joy are to be admired.
ReplyDeleteHi, J.CrewJD, I couldn't take my eyes off her. And I love her family.
ReplyDeleteHi, JulieStyles, yes, the secret ingredient is joy.
ReplyDeleteGabby is adorable, I agree, so no wonder she is such an inspiration to you! Nice words, WFF! Hope you have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose, I just suddenly saw her as Peter Pan, and Peter's song, when he (usually played by a girl) teaches John, Wendy and Michael to fly, came to mind. I've always wanted to be able to fly, haven't you?
ReplyDeleteLOVE Gabby! Love, love, love! It amazes me when you see those gymnasts out on the floor, so strong, such dedicated athletes, and then they sit down for an interview with Bob Costas and you realize that they are still just little girls!
ReplyDeleteand she's such a charmer, I forgave her months ago for having PRACTICED. I love her too.
ReplyDeleteWell Fred - little known fact - WMM is in fact a Wendy. And a Wendy most definitely named after Peter Pan and Wendy! I am with you - she was magical!
ReplyDeleteHi, Wendy! We're still watching, hoping for replays.
ReplyDeleteThank you Fred, beautiful picture and verse. I am so proud of our sweet and strong young ladies.
ReplyDeleteHi, David! I finally got the "embed" code to work, so the "I'm Flying" song can be heard.
