and straight on til morning

I'm flying
(Flying, flying, flying)
Look at me way up high,
Suddenly here am I
I'm flying.

I'm flying
(Flying, flying, flying)
I can soar
I can weave and what's more
I'm not even trying

High up, and as light as I can be.
I must be a sight lovely to see.

I'm flying.
(Flying, flying, flying)
Nothing will stop me now:
Higher still look at how
I can zoom around,
'Way up off the ground
I'm flying.

I'm whizzing
Through a cloud
Past the star
I'm so proud
Look how far I breeze in
High over the moon
Higher I fly
By old mister moon
Wave me goodbye

I'm flying.
(Flying, flying, flying)
Heading far out of sight
Second star to the right
Now the way is clear
Neverland is near
Follow all the air
Cause I'm about to disappear
I'm flying!

  1. Hello:
And where, we wonder are you flying to?

No doubt some distant, exotic land with culinary delights to tempt us with on your return. Safe travels!

  2. Thank you, Jane and Lance! We have a family event in the next week or so, and Himself can't think of fall without wanting to be on the open road, so yes, travel is on the horizon. But last night I watched Our Gabby flying magically through the sky to bring home the gold, and I wished I could fly like Peter.

  3. Our new Wendy! What grace.

Wish I was going to London which is apparently underinhabited right now-- you can get a table anywhere.

  10. Thanks, Rose, I just suddenly saw her as Peter Pan, and Peter's song, when he (usually played by a girl) teaches John, Wendy and Michael to fly, came to mind. I've always wanted to be able to fly, haven't you?

  11. LOVE Gabby! Love, love, love! It amazes me when you see those gymnasts out on the floor, so strong, such dedicated athletes, and then they sit down for an interview with Bob Costas and you realize that they are still just little girls!

  13. Well Fred - little known fact - WMM is in fact a Wendy. And a Wendy most definitely named after Peter Pan and Wendy! I am with you - she was magical!

As Alice Roosevelt Longworth said, if you've got anything bad to say, sit next to me! No, really, please remember to be kind, and don't say anything fred's mother would not approve of (Diner's mom didn't approve of anything. Including fred.)
