emails from Nordstrom's are getting a little too personal

I mean, this speaks to my soul.
Unless it's meant as a criticism of my personal life,
in which case they can just wait for their check.

  1. Ha. Didn't get this one. Guess they know I don't go unless there is an open bar...no hoping here.

  3. I would have read that as: "hope for an open bar b/c you wont have any money left after buying this outfit at our store"
    or
"this won't really flatter you but buy it anyway and hope that everyone will be too drunk to notice"
Either way I can only appreciate their honesty

    1. Kind of like one of my favorite household hints: don't waste time dusting before company comes, keep the lights dim and serve very strong drinks...

  4. Perhaps there is an event in your future? pretty lace. I just returned from a couple of weeks in the Southwest, where civilized inns have a little cocktail hour for guests. Hydration, after all.

    1. Oh, the whole thing is an assemblage of body parts and glue, the head is absolutely stuck on from another pic. I think one is meant to be too drunk to notice Frankenmodel. Or too thirsty.

  6. Well, that model certainly looks determined. I certainly wouldn't stand between her and an open bar! I suppose the next morning shots will be in the J Crew Holiday catalog.

    1. The dress might be ok, hard to tell on the Frankenmodel.

  8. I love your housekeeping advice. It's always smart to hope for an open bar but, I agree, there is something off with the photo they use.

    1. Or they have a defective update of their Photoshop program?

  9. This is just bizarre! An open bar? Are they referring to a food bar? Clearly that's what this girl needs. Me? Not so much.
